Valve Coil Spring

Railway leaf springs are train springs that are used in passenger coaches and freight waggons. They are constructed of spring steel and assembled by cambering many flat and curved leaves. The structure is held together by a hollow square steel box in the centre. The top leaf, with two circular hollow eyes, serves as a fitting shackle. The following leaves are gradually fitted to match the camber of the main leaf. Heat treatment is required for maximum functioning. To absorb severe loads and preserve suspension stability, a train leaf spring is filled under the coach and waggon frame.
